A top tier sorority can basically pick just who they want among pledges, while a low tier sorority takes the leftovers. plan on rushing and MEET THE GIRLS. Dont know much about KD or ADPI. Delta Zeta (DZ) girls are generally considered approachable and easy to talk to. Tri Delta does not. Chi O Zeta you did do great this year but you were rushing against Tri Delt, Alpha Phi, and AXO more than anyone else. Very pretty, very smart, very snobbish. Good luck!

Each chapter varies and although SOME of these stereotypes are similar to those on my campus, some are so far from it. Perhaps your guide will give others a better initial overview so THEY, unlike me, will still consider pledging some of these sororities :D. At the bottom tier is kappa kappa gamma, delta zeta, AZD, and kappa delta. It was where I felt I fit in, and I ended up finding out that I would have been extremely unhappy if I'd gone with my old friends. Upper Middle Tier: Alpha Phi Some say the sorority is full of girls who were rejected at top-tier sororities but are still solidly mid-tier. They pick each other out before recruitment even begins. Kappa.doesnt have the rich rep, or cute, they kinda hate each other. I find that Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma, all are considered "top tier' nationally. I would say pretty girls but many chunky and athletic. Pi Beta Phi, and Kappa Kappa Gamma are generally considered top tier across the country, with some exceptions. Usually nice girls, not a ton of super pretty girls though. Neither one is the "sorority type". Girls are also pretty here and usually have strong connections as well. They took a lot of girls Theta, Pi Phi, and Chi o all had at pref though so bet some people dont agree with you. Still, I dont think DDD will leave top tier anytime soon. One of the "top" sororities in this write-up just had to shut down their chapter, and one of the "mid-tier" sororities has so many top women that it's almost embarrassing to the other sororities on campus. ,Im not a part of Greek life, but I have many friends who are. from what I know of them. AXID is last. OPINIONS, people. Terrible physical house. Out of the blue last week my son told us that he was accepted off the waitlist and that TCU was now his first choice. The University of Texas at Austin is home to more than 65 national fraternity and sorority chapters. They are probably number three IMO. Every girl should have the opportunity to get a feel for each and every house she rushes and decide for herself which she would fit in the best at. Chi O, Delta Zeta, Alpha Phi, and Alpha Chi Omega were pretty accurate according to the different campuses I have visited. Members have a reputation for hunting down other trust-fund kids to marrysomething that they probably don't have much difficulty doing since they are also considered cute or pretty by most. It all depends on the school you go to. DG has been dropping for last few years. Chi-Os and Kappa Alpha Thetas are top tier sororities at our school. All Sorority and Fraternity Organizations at UT Austin DG and Chi O are top of the middle tier with Phi Mu, and Kappa at the bottom. Boy, the knives seem to be out for the Kappas. Delta Delta Delta ("Tri-Delts") has a national reputation that was lampooned in a 1980s episode of Saturday Night Live ("Delta Delta Delta, can I helpya helpya helpya?"). This is the most ignorant post I've ever read. They are not regarded as nicebut not outright nasty either. With consistently high marks for physical attractiveness, sociability, and popularity, Pi Beta Phis certainly earn the envy of other sororities and the interest of fraternities. Proud KKG, but all of these sororities are amazing with outstanding members. The biggest sororities have hundreds of chapters across the U.S. and abroadthe oldest have been around since the 1850s. IMO they will surpass Kappa in the next few years and it will be PZT. I would spend time reading some of the recruitment stories on UT to understand just how brutal the cuts can be

They were students calling Phi Mu girls Phi Moo at Arkansas and then the girls at LSU are pretty girls and it's a popular sorority. Now their National name is Kappa Kappa Gramma. Its hard to generalize about a sororitys reputation nationwide; there are many differences from campus to campus. They are known as the exclusive ones. In fact, today, someone I know is driving out of town to visit a sorority sister from twenty three years ago.
